Enacted Budget – Fiscal Year 2027
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed the state’s fiscal 2027 budget on June 18. The fiscal 2027 all funds budget totals $51.47 billion, a $4.24 billion, or 7.6 percent, decrease from fiscal 2026. General fund expenditures for fiscal 2027 total $12.61 billion, a $53 million, or 0.42 percent, decrease from fiscal 2026. General fund revenues are projected to be $12.51 billion for fiscal 2027.
The enacted budget provides funding for project commitments for Louisiana Economic Development; the Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship program; the increased required state match for administrative expenses in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); a Medicaid Managed Care Organization adjustment; the Louisiana State Penitentiary to increase capacity; and the Department of Children and Family Services to complete a Child Welfare System Modernization Project as well as increase foster care board rates, adoption subsidies, and guardianship subsidies.
